Ram Setu's box office earnings and Road to 100Cr

Box office revenue for Ram Setu Day 3: After a disappointing start on the day following Diwali, the box office receipts for Akshay Kumar's movie have significantly decreased.

Ram Setu, a movie starring Akshay Kumar, saw a decline on its third day of release after a dismal opening weekend. According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, the movie made Rs 8.75 crore on its third day.

"#RamSetu is holding well in mass pockets, which is fueling its business," Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter. However, business at multiplexes and metropolitan centres, which make up a sizable portion, is underwhelming. Weekend business [Fri to Sun] will decide... Thu 8.75 cr, Wed 11.40 cr, and Tuesday 15.25 cr. 35.40 crores in total.

Ram Setu lost 30% of its box office after taking in Rs 26.65 crore in its first two days, according to Bollywood Hungama. The movie will still have a chance to succeed if it can gross more than Rs 60 crore by the end of the weekend, but if it fails the Friday test, it won't have a chance to surpass the coveted Rs 100 crore milestone.

Ram Setu opened at Rs 15.25 crore on its first day of release, the day after Diwali. The Akshay-starring movie's second day's earnings were significantly down, just managing to reach Rs. 11.40 crore.

After Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, and Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu is Akshay's fourth movie to be released in theatres this year. There was no big box office success for any of the preceding films. In terms of opening day box office receipts, Ram Setu, however, has emerged as his most lucrative movie of 2022. Additionally, he was a leading man in the streaming thriller Cuttputlli.

The film Thank God, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn, and Rakul Preet Singh, opposes Ram Setu.

Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express gave Ram Setu 1.5 stars and described it as "Amar Chitra Katha lacks the story-telling ability." If done better, this might have been a movie that presents competing viewpoints and gives everyone its own platform. Ram Setu, however, is only a pedestrian movie that solely cares about driving home its point. Additionally, the movie has a Raiders of the Lost Ark vibe thanks to a female scientist who emerges from a tunnel after being submerged in sea water. With her pink lipstick still in place," read a passage from the review.

Ram Setu, which was directed by Abhishek Sharma and also features Nasser, Satya Dev, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Pravesh Rana, is about a scientist's quest to establish the Ram Setu's existence.
